I am honored to have been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by FrancescaWho, Ordinary Joy, and Stacey Edwards. If my week had not been so busy, I would probably have 33 questions and answers for you to read. However, I am sticking to my first set of questions for now. I honestly cannot believe the amazing blogging community I have found on Twitter in this short first month. I am extremely grateful for each one of you and love the variety of blogs I have discovered.
1. Thank blogger(s) who nominated you for the blog post and link back to their blog.

FrancescaWho’s Questions to Me
What inspired you to start blogging?
This may seem a bit shallow, but I learned through an amazing Facebook group, Start A Money Making Blog, that you could make money blogging. I have always loved writing and reading. I have even done some freelance content writing for websites. The gears in my brain started turning and they have not stopped. I started planning a full year before I was able to buy and launch my site. My biggest inspiration, and motivation, is that I can do what I love from home with my two beautiful children.
What kind of blogs do you like to read for yourself?
I like to read a large variety of blogs. Really whatever catches my eye. Book blogs are a favorite, but I also really enjoy parenting, homeschooling, and travel blogs. I love learning! If I see a blog post about an unfamiliar subject, I will read just to expand my brain.
What do you hope to achieve with your blog?
I partially covered this answer previously… I want to support my children. Also, I aim to help other authors receive notice for their works. I love literature and believe it should be shared on a grand scale. A long term, dream achievement would to be able to influence new adaptations of books. If I could get at least one proper, perfect adaptation of a favorite book made, I would explode with happiness – confetti, rainbows, and glitter everywhere!
What do you like doing in your spare time?
Hmmmmm, spare time? Sleep? I guess those times when I sit down and forget about my massive to-do lists would be my spare time. I like to do puzzles, play video games, watch television, and read.
If you don’t blog full-time, how do you fill the rest of your day?
I home school my son and chase my daughter. To add further chaos, I also babysit two more children a few days each week. Then, of course, there is housework… A LOT of housework.
What have you enjoyed about blogging so far?
Blogging gives me an excuse to tell everyone to leave me alone. “I am reading for work.” 🙂 Also, I really enjoy receiving the new works from new authors. I hardly ever know what kind of book I am about to read. It has opened me up to books that normally I wouldn’t pick up off a shelf. Simply because they are not my usual genre of choice. It is exciting to expand my universe.
What are your goals for 2018?
In this first year of blog life, I am aiming to keep working. I have a bad habit of not finishing projects. Completing at least one blog post every two weeks would be a realistic goal for me, though I wish to do more. I would also like to complete my Goodreads challenge. For the year itself, separate from blogging, I am always aiming to become healthier.
What do you find intimidating being new to blogging?
All of the technical work. I am not huge on technology. I prefer working with simple things like books, paper, pencils, and DVDs. Learning WordPress, email subscription lists, connecting all the social media accounts, and so on is overwhelming to say the least.
Where would you like to see your blog in a years time?
I would like to see my blog still going and growing.
Favourite film, TV show and song?
This is the hardest question EVER! I cannot pick a favorite film… my brain literally hurts trying to narrow down a choice. I love so many for different reasons, moods, and seasons; though, I am not a romance fan. Television show is just as difficult. For comedy, I love “Whose Line is it Anyway?” For drama, I am currently in love with “Gotham”. I am anxiously awaiting “Once Upon a Time” and “The Walking Dead” to come back from their breaks. I also love “Psych”, Friends, Charmed, and on… Picking a favorite song is slightly less difficult, mainly because I do not listen to music often. I have always loved “Desperado” by The Eagles. I grew up with boy bands and the birth of emo. I have several favorites dependent on my mood. Recently “Zombie” by The Cranberries has been playing through my brain.
My questions for my nominations are…
- How long have you been blogging?
- What is your favorite genre of book?
- Do you have a favorite adaptation? Least favorite?
- How much time do you regularly spend on your blog?
- Who would be your dream interview for your blog?
- What do you do when you hit a writing block or post slump?
- Do you have pets? How many and what kinds?
- Do you have anyone that assists with your blog?
- Do you have any interest in one day writing a novel?
- If you could visit anywhere in the world without money being an obstacle, where would you go?
- Last one is not really a question. Tell me something interesting about yourself.
